About Fuel Data Portal

Fuel Data Portal is the fuel industry's front page: daily and weekly briefs, breaking news, and live market data that fuel jobbers, haulers, c-store operators, refiners, and traders check every day.

What we do

We publish daily and weekly briefs: plain-English analysis of what moved in fuel markets and why, written by our editor from the day's public reporting. Alongside the briefs we track public fuel-industry news and link to the original source (we do not republish articles). Our data pages compile public figures (EIA, DOE, delayed market quotes, federal and state fuel taxes) into one place. We never republish licensed price feeds.

Our editor

Andy Will is the chief editor of Fuel Data Portal. He has spent his career in and around the fuel and convenience business since the 1990s, on the technology, operations, and business-process side, working with jobbers, marketers, and c-store operators. Connect on LinkedIn

Who publishes this

Fuel Data Portal is published by FastDragon Software, which sells software to fuel jobbers and c-store operators. That relationship is on the footer of every page here.

What independence means in practice: FastDragon does not advertise on this site, no brief is written to sell anything, and what appears on the Wire is chosen on news value. Where we link to a FastDragon page, the piece says so.
