Build this calendar for your own site, with dates
Every 30 days
- Walkthrough: spill prevention equipment and release detection equipment
- Release detection monitoring on tanks
- Monthly site inspection where your state requires one
- Fire extinguisher visual inspection
Every 60 days
- Impressed current cathodic protection equipment check
Annually
- Release detection equipment operability test, including the line leak detector
- Line tightness test on pressurized piping, unless monitoring monthly
- Walkthrough: containment sumps and hand held release detection equipment
- Fire extinguisher maintenance check and employee training
- Third party site inspection where your state requires one
- Overfill and cathodic protection where your state shortens the federal interval
Every 3 years
- Spill prevention equipment liquid tight test
- Containment sump liquid tight test, where used for interstitial monitoring of piping
- Overfill prevention equipment inspection
- Cathodic protection periodic test
- Line tightness test on suction piping
Every 6 years
- Stored pressure dry chemical fire extinguishers emptied and serviced
Longer, or event driven
- Fire extinguisher hydrostatic test, 5 or 12 years by type
- Notification within 30 days of a new system or a change of ownership
- Tank tightness testing after a repair, a suspected release, or a sale
